Iam back with another MAC lipstick review again. I personally love the satin finish ones from MAC as they offer excellent pigmentation and are very creamy and soft on the lips.
This particular shade is quite a bold one and hence called “Rebel“.
It looks very dark in the tube but on the skin, it comes out as a lovely deep fuschia with purple undertones in it. Iam very fond of bright shades hence picked it up as part of the “Back to MAC policy”. For those who are not aware, MAC lets you bring six empty containers of their products and in return, you get a free MAC lipstick. Awesome isn’t it??
It is a lovely shade and I personally feel that this would make a very good bridal shade instead of the standard maroon lipstick. I also like to wear this for a dinner or an evening party. It goes very well with ethnic outfits.
It comes in the standard black MAC packaging, very sturdy and very travel friendly.
It is highly pigmented and very smooth. It stays for more than 6 hours on my lips and does not settle in lines.
The above swatch shows you how pigmented it is.
One can easily find dupes of this shade but still it is a luxury to have Rebel with you. It looks very rich and suits all skintones very well.
This is how it looks one me. I have pigmented lips and this covers it in one swipe.
