My views on the Bourjois Intense eye shadow #5:

This is my first Bourjois single eye shadow and I am impressed with it in terms of color, packaging, price, quantity & performance ;)

Shade: The shade 05 is a dark teal green color with minute golden shimmers which appear only in flash light on a closer look. In natural light, it appears as a more matte shade itself. I use this color alone on the lid or even as an eye liner and it looks great in both ways.

Texture: The eye shadow is insanely pigmented. One single stroke of your brush picks up good amount of color that applies and blends well. No need of a primer even and the intensity and the staying power is fantastic. If you need more intense color, then just apply the eye shadow as wet and the shade is wow. The baked texture of this eye shadow makes it usable as both dry and wet.

Staying power: It stays on for practically the whole day with little fading. It did not crease on my lids even in the hot weather.

Packaging: The packaging is both cute and practical and sturdy. The eye shadow is baked so the green colored dome too looks cute. It has a mirror too but no applicator.

Pros:

  • Highly pigmented
  • Long staying power even without a proper primer
  • Can be used both in wet and dry form
  • Soft texture and easily blendable.
  • Do not fade or crease even after hours of application.
  • Cute packaging.
  • Can be used as a full lid color or even as an eye liner alone using an angled brush.
  • Cheap
Cons:

  • No applicator present.
  • Not actually a con but as it is a baked shadow so one needs to scratch the top of the dome to get more color.

Ratings: 4.5/5

Final Verdict: A beautiful shade of green that is versatile in use. The darker shades are surely a must try from this range.
