Iam here with a review on my first Lush face mask. Thanks to Deepika of Divassence, who tempted me alot to try Lush products. Iam actually liking it. I have almost finished this tub and this is the right time to share my honest opinion.
LUSH Cup Cake Face MASK
Chocolate heaven for oily and teenage skin. Its action removes excess oil and calms breakouts. Rhassoul mud cleans and soothes, linseed, cocoa butter and cocoa powder soften the skin. Balancing peppermint, spearmint and sandalwood oils complete this effective and delicious experience. Apply to clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave for five to ten minutes, then rinse away with warm water. Keep chilled.
Size : 100 gms Price : 480/- INR. I got 50 grams for Rs.250.
The face pack has a thick texture so I add some rose water and mix before applying. It has mud in it and that helps in controlling oil. It does not make the face really dry and stretchy like fullers earth. It has a lovely chocolate fragrance. Even if you do not have oily skin, and have a storng craving for chocolates, you may try this once. I fell for this fragrance and use it mainly for that. It does not help in skin brightening or open pores. It does not reduce current breakouts but just calms them to an extent. The mud particles are not very coarse so even sensitive skin can use this. It helps in mild exfolitaion while removing the pack from the face in circular motion.
This is the amount required for one use. I mix with rose water to make the consistency thinner.
1.Does not prevent or cure acne
2.Has to be finished within a month
Final words: I may not repurchase this as it is not that great. It is a simple face pack with a chocolate flavour/fragrance. I would rather mix some cocoa powder in fuller earth and use it.
