Lakme CC Cream Review

What I feel about the Lakme CC cream:
A new innovative launch by Lakme in the Indian cosmetic industry is this new Complexion care cream. Well, being the first of its kind, so easily available coming from our very own brand Lakme makes it just tempting enough to give it a test for sure.

The CC cream aims to even out the skin tone, providing a glow and moisturization and acting as a good base for your makeup. It does all this for me quite nicely and provides a decent amount of sun protection too. The cream imparts a somewhat dewy finish which I prefer.
Lakme CC Cream Review

The cream has a bit of thick texture but there is absolutely no trouble in blending it into your skin. The coverage is medium and not light. Though the minor imperfections are taken care of by this cream yet it fails to fully conceal a few acne marks on my face. It instantly brightens up the complexion which you may like on a regular basis. I don’t find a need to set it with compact or anything and its effect can be easily seen for 5-6 hours.
I have been using this cream for more than 3 weeks now in varied weather conditions, in the cool rainy weather and even in the hot and humid conditions. Though the cream works perfectly fine in the cool weather, I do find myself sweating a bit more in the warm conditions and so the effect of this cream does not last as long as expected.

I am quite satisfied using this cream, but only the moisturization part is a small concern here. On my dry skin and in cooler weather conditions, the cream gives a completely matte effect which makes the skin looks dull so better use a moisturizer before applying this one if you have dry skin in cool weather.

Lakme CC Cream Review
·        Instantly brightens up the skin
·        Evens out the skin tone hiding minor imperfections easily.
·        Provides decent UV protection
·        2 shades available which match most of the skin tones well.
·        Its effect stays o for 6 hours and more.
·        Heads up for the innovative idea.
·        Affordable.
·        A little goes a long way.

·  The finish is totally matte (which I don’t prefer) in cooler weather so better moisturize your skin first.
·        Major imperfections would not be fully concealed (though you may not want to do that on a regular basis).

Lakme CC Cream Review

Ratings: 4.35/5

Final Verdict:A pretty impressive day cream that eliminates the use of foundation on a regular basis. The brightening effect and the staying power are quite impressive. So I do recommend it.

Good review. I have fair skin tone. Both beige and bronze shades suit me well. Thus bought both of the shades. May be there is a need for a much dark shade for dusky beauties. Otherwise, the product is very good and lasts upto 8 hours for me without touch ups. Good for college girls and working women. Very affordable for daily use.

very well said Megha.. even I have seen bronze suiting fair pple.. but I do think the cream sets itself on to the skin tone easily so it may suit dusky skin tone too :)

Are these a part of makeup or daily tinted moisturizers… Could dey b used by me im under 15. r dey suitable for oily skins?if not which cream to be recommended like bb or cc

Nids August 13, 2013 at 9:21 am

HI there.. sorry for replying late… Yeah, it can be used by ur age group.. I think college going girls prefer such daily creams which gives brightening effect too, these days.. If you have more or less a clear complexion and just want to add a light glow then prefer bb cream.. a cc cream gives a little more coverage than the maybelline bb cream that I used. hope this helps :)
